Help Support The Japan Earthquake Relief Effort

Given the recent catastrophic events in Japan, I have today installed the American Red Cross widget on the blog sidebar which provides news on the latest disasters from around the world.

If you click on any news story on the widget, you will automatically be taken to the American Red Cross website where you can read the latest news on the disaster as well as donate to the cause.

Although the Japanese Red Cross are aiding in the relief effort in Japan, officials there have indicated they would be grateful for donations and some assistance from the American Red Cross to support their earthquake and tsunami response...this is how your donations will help those people effected by the disaster. You can read more on this here.

If you're looking for a way for your blog or website visitors to donate to the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Disaster, you can install the widget direct from my blog by selecting "Get Widget" on the sidebar or by visiting the American Red Cross blog at: http://redcrosschat.org

Once you install the widget on your blog or website, don't forget to let your visitors know that you've installed the widget and how they can donate using this feature. Feel free to use this post as a template.

You can also download and place the following banners on your blog or website. To do this, "Right-Click" on the banner of your choice and select "Save Picture As" (Internet Explorer) or "Save image as" (Google Chrome). Please ensure that these banners link to the American Red Cross Japan Earthquake donation page.

If you're unsure how to install the banners on your blog or website, you can link directly to these banners by using any of the the following codes:

The size of the banners are 300x250 pixels. However, you can resize the banners to any size you want to suit your blog or website design. Simply alter the "width" and "height" elements in the code to resize the banners. If these banners are not suitable for your blog or website, you can find more on the American Red Cross website at: http://www.redcross.org/webbanners/tsunami

If you can, please make a donation to this relief effort and if you're a blogger or website owner, please consider putting the widget and/or banners on your blog or website and help support a worthy cause. Thank you!

Note: As well as using the widget and visiting the American Red Cross website at http://www.redcross.org, you can view the latest news and donate to the Japan Earthquake and Pacific Tsunami Disaster on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/redcross

Our prayers and heartfelt condolences are with the people of Japan and those effected by the Tsunami.
